Formed in 2014, and already supporting such esteemed acts as The Darkness, Slash, and Deep Purple, and performing at Download Festival, Hellfest Open Air Festival, Azkena Rock Festival ARF, Rock For People, Louder Than Life, and Aftershock Festival, UK hard rockers, RavenEye, are set to release their full-length debut, NOVA.
If you’re not sure what RavenEye sounds like, have a peek at “Inside” and “Hero” in the players on this page.
You wouldn’t be wrong if you thought you detected notes of Queens of the Stone Age, Foo Fighters, and even Pop Evil. The world definitely needs more hard rock, and so RavenEye is a welcome addition.
If you live in South America, hopefully you can take advantage of one of RavenEye’s performances at this year’s Maximus Festival in Brazil and Argentina this September before touring Europe in the fall. Their incendiary live shows have captivated crowds and put them on the map as a “must see live” band.
Warren Riker (Lauryn Hill, Michael Jackson, Down, Anders Osborne), who engineered their debut EP, took over as producer to capture the band’s true sonic identity on NOVA. Together, guitarist Oli Brown, Aussie bassist Aaron Spiers, and renowned drummer Gunnar Olsen worked at Water Music in Hoboken, New Jersey, for 25 days and created an 11-track album.
