Alice’s legacy will continue in the Resident Evil film franchise after all. It appears like Constantine Film has plans to fully reboot Resident Evil, which is based on the popular Capcom video game series of the same name.
During the Cannes Film Festival, Variety reported that the production company is developing a massive reboot with Constantin Film board chairman Martin Moszkowicz confirming the news. According to the media outlet, the German studio who still owns rights to the franchise has plans to make a six-movie reboot again.
While no other details have been revealed, fans can expect to see new directors and stars attached to the reboot. Paul W.S. Anderson, who wrote all six original films and directed four of them will most likely be out since he’s currently working on Monster Hunter. There’s also a good chance Milla Jovovich will follow suit as well.
