Capcom may not have officially announced Resident Evil: Revelations 2 for any platforms yet, but a leaked box art and screenshot of the Japanese version of the sequel suggests it could be coming to North America in the very near future.
A French gaming site published two images earlier this week, which seem to be pretty legit according to numerous online sources such as Polygon and Gamespot. Unfortunately, the screenshot and the Biohazard: Revelations 2 box art have since been removed. Don’t worry; you’re not missing out on much because they look like concepts more than anything and could still be phonies.
However, we can confirm that Revelations 2 was listed on Xbox.com last night, which is the closest thing to an official announcement. Capcom has yet to confirm anything, but I’m sure in a few days Revelations 2 will be out in the open.
Resident Evil: Revelations originally launched on the 3DS back in 2012, and later relaunched in high-definition for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and PC. Capcom cited the game as one of its financial highlights last year.
