At 46 years old, Roy Jones Jr. still has what it takes to knock opponents out in boxing. In his most recent 10-round cruiserweight title fight, Jones unleashed his once-trademark flurry in the final 30 seconds of the first round, forcing the referee to stop the fight before Paul Vasquez can regroup with his teammates to start another round. Clearly, Vasquez was in no shape to continue and the fight was quickly put to an end.
Jones retained the WBU (German version) Cruiserweight title last night at the Pensacola Bay Center in Pensacola, Florida.
