Swedish heavy metal outfit, Sabaton, have released the lyric video for the track “Night Witches,” which isn’t nearly as ominous as it sounds. The track is actually about women fighter pilots during WWII. Check out the lyric video, released today, in the video player above.
“Night Witches” comes off of Sabaton’s seventh full-length, Heroes, which was released in May 2014, via Nuclear Blast. The album has garnered some of the band’s highest chart positions, including their first #1 in their native Sweden, #2 in Finland, #3 in Germany, #4 in Czech Republic, #6 in Poland, #7 in Switzerland – and many more!
Commented guitarist Thobbe Englund:
Actually it’s one of my favorites. It reminds me a lot of JUDAS PRIEST, in a kind of ACCEPT style. It’s a really cool metal song – tough & hard.
Personally, I don’t hear the Judas Priest or the Accept; it’s more a European symphonic power metal than anything else.
Added guitarist Chris Rörland:
It’s a very good opening song for the album. You start with it, and you get a good idea for the whole album.
