It looks like a Japanese job posting may have leaked some information on a potential sequel to The Evil Within. A survival horror, which I believe was the best damn title released back in 2014.
Now, 3 years later, The Evil Within 2 may be finally coming to fruition based on an internal job listing (via NeoGAF) that indicates a followup to the video game is in production. According to a translation of the job description, the position is for QA and translation for Psycho Break 2—Psycho Break being the original Japanese title for The Evil Within. The hardware also mentioned in the job posting for the sequel is PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. So it’s definitely a next-gen release!
Prior to this breaking news, Bethesda’s Pete Hines hinted at the possibility of a sequel to The Evil Within in 2016. While never officially confirming a sequel, Hines said that both The Evil Within and Rage did well enough that they could make followups in the future.
Could the future be now? It sounds like it is and we are looking forward to posting more news about the development of The Evil Within 2, if this is all true.
