Trekkies Rejoice – Extended Preview Of Star Trek: Into Darkness To Come

There’s nothing to show you yet, but J.J. Abrams has confirmed that there will be an extended preview of Star Trek: Into Darkness. The preview will reportedly be attached to Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey upon its release on December 14, 2012. The teaser trailer will also likely appear online around the same time as The Hobbit‘s release. What’s more, the theatrical release of the extended preview will be the first of its kind to be viewed in IMAX. Make sure to check the official IMAX page for a theater near you.

Set for a May 17, 2013, release, Star Trek: Into Darkness will see Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban, Zoe Saldana, Anton Yelchin, Simon Pegg, and John Cho return to reprise their roles from Star Trek (2009).
