State of Decay, a highly successful zombie-survival horror video game that sold more than 250,000 copies in its first 48 hours of release to the Xbox Live Arcade last June is creeping over to the Xbox One next year. Due to success, State of Decay has been cited as the second-fastest-selling XBLA game of all time.
Undead Labs who developed the game broke the news earlier this week. The Xbox One edition is a definitive version of the original titled State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition that will run in glorious 1080p, and will include previously released Add-on packs Breakdown and Lifeline. New content has also been added that should entice fans to replay State of Decay.
If you’re unfamiliar with the game, it’s an open world “zombie survival fantasy” that focuses on survival tactics such as stealth, evasion, distractions, base building, survivor community, securing resources, and moving through the world more than actual zombie combat.
Undead Labs will release State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition in spring 2015, as an Xbox One exclusive.
