Any chance we can start a petition to stop a reboot from happening in the Terminator franchise, especially if James Cameron isn’t directing?
If over 70,000 people signed for Ben Afleck to hang up his cape for Batman vs. Superman, then I think we can easily rack up enough signatures to stop another disaster from happening. No? Anyhow, the Terminator reboot is happening regardless of what fans think because no matter how much you hate the idea of a reboot, everyone is still going to check it out, including my dumb ass.
We already know for a fact that Paramount Pictures partnered with Skydance Productions and Annapurna Pictures to bring light for a new trilogy in the upcoming years, and the first installment is already expected for release on June 26, 2015. Rumor is Arnold Schwarzenegger will return, and Variety just reported that TV series director Alan Taylor, also known for Thor: The Dark World is in talks to helm the new Terminator film from a script by Laeta Kalorgridis and Patrick Lussier.
Would you be thrilled about him directing or what? Drop your thoughts off in the comments section below. We’ll also make more noise when details are announced at a later date for the reboot. Stay tuned!
