I’ll start off by saying that I hate the title of this fan made promo trailer for a potentially good prequel concept to Tobe Hooper ‘s original horror classic, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
The Best There Ever Was is just a crappy choice for a horror title, in my opinion. I see it working well for a final installment in the Best of the Best series. I’m flabbergasted by this decision, but I still love the trailer. Everything else works, and I really like the idea that the film would center around the Grandpa and Leatherface as a kid learning the tricks of the trade to become an iconic serial killer.
The filmmakers nailed that part, and I hope it gets picked up by the studio that owns the rights to the franchise, but without the shity title.
Check it out!
About the trailer
The story is centered around the Grandpa from the original film, but he is much younger and Bubba Sawyer (Leatherface) is just a kid. The movie will be based on how the Grandpa raised young Bubba to be who he is going to be.
