John Carpenter’s “The Ward” To Be Released July 8th

John Carpenter will return to the big screen with his first full-length horror flick in 10 years, The Ward. The movie was released in United Kingdom theaters in January.

Amber Heard (Drive Angry, The Informers) plays Kristen, a beautiful but troubled young woman who finds herself bruised and cut while setting fire to an abandoned farmhouse in 1966. She’s soon taken to a local psychiatric hospital with no memory of why she was brought there and no memory of her life before. All she knows is that between the unsettling ambiance of the hospital and the other patients, there’s something certainly wrong in the ward.
