by If you’re in the mood for something different, but as macabre as a vaudeville themed picnic in the county morgue, then you should probably check out The Tiger Lillies, who are releasing Bad Blood + Blasphemy on vinyl this April, via Corpse Flower Records.
The album was first released in 1999, but this is the first time that it’ll be available on vinyl, which was remastered for the format by James Plotkin (OLD, Scorn, Khanate, Khlyst) and will be limited to 500 copies in four different color variants: black, oxblood splatter on bone, blood red, and oxblood in milky clear. It also features brand new artwork by Mark Rudolph (Carcass, Coalesce, Battlecross), and if you pre-order, you’ll get a hand-drawn 8″x10″ illustration of The Tiger Lillies by Rudolph.

The British outfit is known for a unique sound and look, which makes sense when you consider that the founding frontman, Martyn Jacquesspent, lived above a brothel in London’s Soho in his 20s back in the ’90s. During this period, Martyn observed the comings and goings of the shady locals, and 10 years later he was able to turn that into an expression.
