Kingston, Pennsylvania’s Title Fight released a new video yesterday for the song “Rose of Sharon” (seen in the player above), which comes by way of the band’s forthcoming third album, Hyperview, due out February 3rd, via Anti-.
Post-rock/alt rock/punk like Title Fight isn’t something we normally cover, but since “Rose for Sharon” really strikes me as something The Replacements, early REM, or Hüsker Dü could have done, I really wanted to share this with anyone who appreciates those bands as I do. And although what Title Fight does her is considerably softer, it has its roots in the things we know and love at Yell! Magazine.
It’s being said that Title Fight has changed their sound on Hyperview, and there are many long-time fans who are unhappy about it. We’d be interested in hearing your thoughts on the change or, if this is your first experience with the band, what you think of it. Drop your brain in the comments section below.
