That’s right, after 11 years since the first Underworld film, and only 2 years since the last (Underworld: Awakening), Lakeshore Entertainment is developing a reboot. So, is it too soon for this, or just par for the course in Hollywood these days?
Priest writer Cory Goodman has been tapped to write the Underworld reboot, while Gary Lucchesi and Tom Rosenberg will produce.
The term “reboot” is being used in reports about this new Underworld, but it’s unclear if this will be a true reboot or an additional film in the existing franchise. What’s certain is that no one can replace Kate Beckinsale as Selene.
That’s about all there is to know at this point, but we’ll definitely keep you posted as the story develops.
