An upcoming tactical shooter that we have our eyes on is one that will most likely please all gamers that are looking for that next level of realism.
Ubisoft Massive is currently developing that feature for The Division with the all-new Snowdrop Engine, which will be capable of reaching environment details never before seen in video games. According to Ubisoft, the next-gen engine can capture realistic lighting via a “volumetric lighting system”, and can power “procedural destruction elements”.
Ubisoft stated,
Never before has a video game reached this level of detail.
That “level of detail” Ubisoft is talking about can be seen in a new video released during the Spike VGX Awards. The video demonstrates the games day/night cycle, various weather elements, and destruction using a cop car.
The Division launches in fall 2014 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
