UFC Fight Night 101: Luke Rockhold Out Due To An Injury

Luke Rockhold

The highly-anticipated rematch between Luke Rockhold and Ronaldo Souza will need to wait a little a longer. In fact, it may be postponed indefinitely. Who knows!

According to online sources such as MMA Fighting, the former UFC middleweight champion had to withdraw from the November fight due to a knee injury, which may have happened during training. At the moment, we don’t exactly know if the Brazilian will sideline UFC Fight Night 101 as the UFC is still working on finding a new opponent.

Apparently, Souza’s manager Gilberto Faria expressed only interest in a match up with Michael Bisping for the middleweight gold. He stated that Bisping “is running from ‘Jacare.”

UPDATE: Australian Robert Whittaker and Derek Brunson will now face each other in the main event of UFC Fight Night 101, which takes place in Melbourne, Australia at the Rod Laver Arena.
