UPDATE: Uriah Hall will now face Ronald “The Choir Boy” Stallings, according to FOX Sports.
One week ahead of UFC Fight Night 59 in Boston, there’s a good chance Uriah Hall may be pulled off the fight card entirely this time because his latest opponent has suffered another injury. At the moment, the former Ultimate Fighter finalist is left without an opponent. Again.
His opponent, Louis Taylor, recently pulled a muscle in his back, which forced him to pull out of his fight with Hall eight days before the Boston event, which headlines a lightweight bout between Conor McGregor and Dennis Siver. Karyn Bryant from FOX Sports, who first confirmed the news over the weekend, also reported that the UFC terminated Taylor’s contact.
Initially, Hall was expected to face Costas Philippou at UFN 59, but the Cypriot mixed martial artist sustained a rib injury during training earlier this month. The UFC is in the midst of finding a new opponent for Hall.
