Those of you looking forward to seeing Vitor Belfort’s final rounds in the UFC will need to wait a little longer for his retirement fight.
The main event of UFC St. Louis between the Brazilian veteran and Uriah Hall has been officially scratched. According to multiple online sources, Hall was on route to make weight at the morning weigh-ins, but fainted before making the scale. The former TUF finalist was then taken to the hospital for treatment. Apparently, Hall may have suffered a seizure.
Sunday’s UFC Fight Night co-main event between Uriah Hall and Vitor Belfort has been called off after Hall was unable to make weight for the bout at Scottrade Center in St. Louis.
The card, which airs on FS1, will proceed with 11 bouts. Moving to the main card is the featherweight bout between Darren Elkins and Michael Johnson, while the bantamweight clash between Kyung Ho Kang and Guido Cannetti moves to the FS1 prelims.
The UFC will now be moving forward with a bout between Jeremy Stephens and Doo Ho Choi collide in a significant featherweight bout. The co-main event features a women’s flyweight bout between Paige VanZant and Jessica-Rose Clark.
