The Unguided have debuted their new video for “Inception,” which comes off the Swedish band’s upcoming debut album, Fragile Immortality. The band features former Sonic Syndicate and Dead By April members, vocals by Richard Sjunnesson and Roland Johansson, along with Roger Sjunnesson on guitar. Fragile Immortality will be released in early 2014.
Despite the hints of excellent musicianship, The Unguided have put forth a track that’s as average sounding as the missionary position. It’s definitely not a banner of heavy metal and hopefully it’s not the genre’s future. “Inception” might be passable for your workout in the gym, but it’s as forgettable as the top 40 crap that gyms usually pump through their sound systems.
The “Inception” video, however, has some memorable imagery. Namely the comic book art and the hot blonde.
