If you haven’t heard already, The Last of Us is heading for the PlayStation 4 this summer. But the game doesn’t just have a new name (The Last of Us: Remastered), no, it has also been boosted to 1080p “with a list of upgrades including higher-resolution character models, improved shadows and lighting, upgraded textures, along with even more improvements,” as posted at PlayStation blog.
Have a look at the official The Last of Us: Remastered launch trailer (above) that was released today.
How else can a game with more than 200 “Game of the Year” awards be improved besides amping up its looks? Well, just like your favorite movies, you give it an audio commentary. During the cutscenes in The Last of Us: Remastered, you’ll have the joy of listening to Creative Director and Writer, Neil Druckmann; Voice Actor, Troy Baker, who plays Joel; and BAFTA Award winning Voice Actress, Ashley Johnson, who plays Ellie, talk about the game. No doubt that this definitely adds a layer the game’s replay value if you’re uber geeky.

PlayStation is also happy to announce that Remastered will be released with the major content released since the PS3 version dropped. This content includes the Left Behind single player expansion, Abandoned Territories multiplayer map pack, Reclaimed Territories pack, etc. Additional details are forthcoming.
