This time around, SEGA nailed every aspect in the latest Alien game, which launched two weeks ago from today on various consoles, including Windows PC. Unlike Aliens: Colonial Marines, Alien: Isolation feels identical to the atmosphere Ridley Scott created in his 1979 sci-fi classic, Alien. Isolation even has flare from James Cameron’s Aliens, even though the game isn’t really based off any Alien sequels.
Isolation is truly scary as hell since it finally has the real essence of the Alien movie. I’ve been playing Isolation since it launched and I’m having a hard time putting the controller down because it’s so much fun. It’s amazing and it would be an epic experience to play Isolation on the Oculus Rift, an upcoming virtual reality head-mounted display that is expected to launch sometime in April 2015.
Since many of us don’t have the privilege to test Isolation on the Oculus Rift, GameSpot was lucky enough to do it. Although, the video above doesn’t show you the VR effects with Isolation, you can at least tell how scary it is just from the reaction of GameSpotters.
The results are not pretty, so check it out if you’re curious!.
