Rising Swedish mixed martial artist Volkan Oezdemir ran into some trouble with the law over the weekend. On Saturday, the knockout specialist was arrested in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
At the moment, there’s no official detail about the incident, but an arrest record for Oezdemir became public over the weekend. According to the charges, the UFC light heavyweight was put into custody for “Aggravated Battery – Cause Bodily Harm Or Disability.” Oezdemir remained arrested on Sunday morning at Broward County Jail on $10,000 bond.
“No Time” currently trains with the Combat Club team in Lantana, Florida. Oezdemir was signed by the UFC in 2017, and made his promotional debut as a short notice injury replacement against Ovince St. Preux on February 4, 2017. He won the bout by split decision and also defeated Misha Cirkunov, including Jimi Manuwa by knockout in the first round.
