Based on the same name as the comic book series published by DC Comics’ Vertigo, Preacher is an upcoming TV adaptation developed by Evan Goldberg, Seth Rogan and Sam Catlin for AMC. The series will revolve around Jesse Cluster played by Dominic Cooper, a conflicted preacher in a small Texas town who merges with a powerful entity from heaven which allows him to unleash a highly unconventional power.
The series is slated for 2016 and ahead of its anticipated debut, AMC has released the very first full-length trailer to give fans an early tease of the show. Preacher also stars Ruth Negga as Tulip, the ex-girlfriend of Jesse, and an Irish vampire named Cassidy played by Joseph Gilgun.
