Genre legend Wes Craven has inked a deal with Universal Cable Productions to bring three scripted series to the small screen. Among those is an adaptation of his 1991 classic The People Under the Stairs, which Craven will executive produce. That project as well as an adaptation of Daryl Gregory’s book, We Are All Completely Fine, are headed for the Syfy network. Craven will write and direct the pilot for the latter.
The third series in the deal is, Disciples, a sci-fi horror drama set in the near future and based on the upcoming graphic novel by Steve Niles. Craven will also executive produce.
These three projects, in addition to the previous announcement that Craven would be working on the Scream television adaptation, should keep the horror icon very busy.
