Last week when we reported that Dimension Films and MTV are working together to bring a Scream series to network television, and that Wes Craven was approached to direct the pilot. Did you ever have any doubt that he would take part in the TV series?
Well, this man that directed classics such as Nightmare on Elm Street, The Hills Have Eyes, and the original Scream weighed in on the matter, and responded to his loyal fans about the project, which is currently in works.
“A lot of you have asked about the Scream TV series. It’s true I’ve been approached. My response was, it would depend on the script. If they have a great script/concept, it could be fun. If not, not.”
Sounds to me he is on board with Dimension Films and MTV, but only if they find a scribe who will write a kick ass script for him.
Otherwise, forget Wes Craven.
