It’s still unconfirmed, but there’s definitely a strong possibility that the new Microsoft console, the Xbox One, will launch on November 8, 2013. That’s the news according to Gamespot.com, who is reporting that “staff at a marketing company responsible for advertising material at Wal-Mart” may have inadvertently let the date leak via an internal document.
Just last week Sony announced the release date for its PlayStation 4, November 29, 2013, in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand and November 15 in the U.S. and Canada, which means the November 8th date gives Microsoft a week’s edge over Sony as everyone enters the Christmas shopping rush. It’s doubtful that this move is strategic on Microsoft’s part, since most gamers have already pledged their allegiance to their console of choice — and hardcore gamers are gonna buy both anyways.
We’ll keep you posted once the Xbox One release date is confirmed.
