Yuletide Terror Christmas Horror on Film and Television

Who doesn’t love a good horror-based Christmas movie? Well, there’s surely a right-leaning Christian demographic that takes offense, but there’s still a substantial horror sub genre dedicated to the niche (pronounced “neesh” not “nitch”) market. So, it’s our honor to bring you the news of soon-to-be-released book, Yuletide Terror: Christmas Horror on Film and Television, that explores the genre and more!

Yuletide Terror: Christmas Horror on Film and Television is the fourth book in publisher Spectacular Optical’s series on pop culture and cinema, and consists of essays, interviews, and reviews all on the theme of Christmas representation in the horror genre. Currently the book is available for pre-order as funds are raised for printing. The book should be on the shelves just in time to be the perfect stocking stuffer for the horror movie lover in your life.

A short Christmas film, We Always Find Ourselves in the Sea, will also be produced and screened, shown with the book on tour. The short is written and directed by Sean Hogan and produced by UK-based Deviant Films.

Further info on the book chapters, contributors, and film can be found in the press release after the jump…
