At six-feet-three inches, Francis Carmont stands tall as a immense middleweight who is eager to take the division by storm. Currently undefeated in his UFC career and fresh off of a submission victory over Karlos Vemola back in July, Carmont knows he has a tough task in front of him in Tom Lawlor at UFC 154. A seasoned veteran, Lawlor has been fighting in the UFC since 2008 and Carmont would like to have that same type of experience in his career sooner than later.
“I want to fight the best in the division. I want to be the best middleweight in the world”.
When asked about his adopted home of Tristar Gym and the city of Montreal, Carmont would have it no other way and is glad he resides in the city instead of his home of France.
“It’s true my family misses me but I’ve made the sacrifice to be better. The people are so cool, I like (Montreal)…it’s a good town”.
Francis Carmont returns in the Octagon on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the Bell Center in Montreal, Canada to face Tom Lawlor.
