At 31 years old, Mark Bocek has done it all but fight for the title. His lone loss in the past four fights has come to current UFC Lightweight Champion, Benson Henderson. The Ontario-native has always had a hard-working and rugged fighting style and will look to get past Rafael Dos Anjos at UFC 154 to climb further up the lightweight division.
“You don’t really think about it…I’m just worried about getting a win here”, said Bocek in terms of fighting on the prelims instead of fighting on the main card on his homeland. Coming off of an impressive decision win over John Alessio on the main card at UFC 145, Bocek’s hard work should definitely not be overlooked and a veteran of his caliber is definitely deserving of his main card place.
What motivates Bocek going forward?
“Getting better…that motivates me and makes me happy.”
