by A few weeks ago, we brought you some news and brand-spankin’ new stills of the upcoming Silent Night film, now we have the first trailer — and it looks totally awesome. And you absolutely cannot go wrong with Malcolm McDowell spitting out lines like, “Christmas! The number one holiday for people going nuts” and “Hiding in plain sight!” and “We’re just gonna have to take down this maniac down ourselves.”
As you’ll see in the trailer, it appears that Silent Night has barrowed a couple scenes from the likes of Fargo and No Country for Old Men. We’re not complaining, since Director Steven C. Miller is presenting his thievery in what looks to be a brutal and bloody slasher.
The moral of this film? Be good. The urban legend within the film bills this Slasher Santa as one who kills those who have been naughty instead of nice.
Look for Anchor Bay Films’ Silent Night to hit select screens come November 30 and for the Blu-ray/DVD combo and DVD to hit shelves on December 4.
