UFC 157 is an upcoming MMA event that headlines the bout between Ronda Rousey and Liz Carmouche, which is the first ever women’s bantamweight championship fight in UFC history. The fight takes place on February 23 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Rousey is known for winning the Olympic medal in Judo at the Summer Olympics in 2008, and in a very short amount of time conquered the STRIKEFORCE bantamweight division. She defeated all her opponents with her signature armbar, including former STRIKEFORCE champion Miesha Tate, and wrecked her last opponent, Sarah Kaufman, by submission early in the first round. Rousey also currently holds an outstanding 6-0 record in her professional career and plans to hold on to the UFC strap after her fight with Liz Carmouche (8-2) at UFC 157. Many believe this will be an easy fight for Rousey, however, Carmouche has expressed many times that she plans to put an end to her hype.
