So far the French MMA prospect, Francis Carmont (20-7), who trains alongside Georges St-Pierre at the Tristar Gym is on track for a title shot since his debut at UFC 137 with four straight wins in the UFC middleweight division, despite his last win via split decision was a lackluster against Tom Lawlor. As matter of fact, Carmont has won nine straight fights overall and is now scheduled at UFC on FOX 7 on April 20 in San Jose to welcome STRIKEFORCE veteran Lorenz Larkin.
Lorenz Larkin should not be considered a slouch, if you know nothing about his career, since his pro MMA record is bar none outstanding with only one loss to “King Mo”, which was overturned after Lawal tested positive for Drostanolone. However, Larkin hasn’t fought since July when he defeated Robbie Lawler, but should still impose a big threat for Carmont.
The fight was announced by the UFC on Friday and the card already has four lightweigth bouts confirmed that includes Nate Diaz.
