Principal Cast Finalized For Godzilla (2014) – Filming Started Today

Gareth Edwards takes on the upcoming tent pole Godzilla from a screenplay by Max Borenstein. Filming began today on location in Vancouver, Canada, as officially announced earlier by Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures. Along with the announcement, both companies also revealed the principal cast for the film, which includes Batman Begins actor Ken Wanatabe, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, David Strathairn, and Bryan Cranston.

According to the press release, Godzilla will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, except in Japan, where it will be distributed by Toho Co., Ltd. Legendary Pictures, a division of Legendary Entertainment.

Godzilla is slated to open on May 16, 2014, and is expected to be presented in 3-D.
