Despite a yet-to-be released album leaking, Bring Me The Horizon were spared from showing up at the party totally nude; the band has three bonus tracks that will appear on the deluxe edition of Sempiternal (April 2nd).
Stream “Deathbeds” at www.altpress.com.
The previously unheard track is “Deathbeds,” and it’s an atmospheric, ethereal, transcending number that, for me at least, sounds very much like The Cure. Or something from The Crow soundtrack. So, while “Deathbeds” is very good, it’s not bringing anything new to the table. Well, maybe it is if you’re 13 years old.
“Deathbeds” also features guest vocals from Oliver Sykes’ girlfriend, Hannah Snowdon. Bring Me The Horizon, consisting of Oliver Sykes, Lee Malia, Matt Kean, Matt Nicholls, and Jordan Fish, recorded Sempiternal in three months with Terry Date (Linkin Park, Deftones, Soundgarden) producing and David Bendeth (A Day To Remember, Paramore) mixing.
Coinciding with the April 2nd release of Sempiternal, Bring Me The Horizon will also live stream a performance in Leeds, UK. See the live stream via www.sempiternallive.com.
