Chicago isn’t exactly spawning ground for melodic death metal, so we have to show support when we can. But being unique isn’t the only reason we’re mentioning the release of Starkill‘s latest video, “New Infernal Rebirth“; it’s also a killer tune with undertones of creepy circus music and some great musicianship.
“New Infernal Rebirth” is taken from the band’s upcoming full-length effort, Fires of Life, which is due out April 30th in North America and May 13th in Europe via Century Media Records. The video itself, however, is a bit of a bore, as it features the band playing their instruments in the woods. That’s not exactly inspired.
Once Fires of Life is released, Starkill will head out on tour with Hypocrisy, Krisiun, Aborted, and Arsis. Starkill will also be playing a few headlining and supporting shows after their stint on the trek. See below for all upcoming tour dates:
