Megadeth Brings Gigantour To 2013… With Device?

Good news and two shots of bad news. First the good news, Dave Mustaine is bringing Gigantour to 2013. Dates and most other details are still unknown.

Bad news item No. 1: Disturbed’s David Draiman new band, Device, will be along for the ride.

Bad news item No. 2: Draiman actually contributed to the new Megadeth album, Super Collider. Here’s Mustaine’s own words:

““The record was done and I was over at his house listening to the new Device record. I said, ‘Hey, you know what?! Would you be interested in singing this part at the end of ‘Dance in the Rain’ … and Dave did it, and I’ve gotta tell you, I think that, knowing how the two artists sound, I don’t know that the other guy is even capable of touching the performance that Draiman did. So that was awesome for us. And I was so excited, I asked him to be on Gigantour this year.”

As far as the other bands on Gigantour 2013, Mustaine said in an interview,

“I think [fans] are gonna be pretty stoked, because each one of the other bands on there, they’re new bands comprised of a person who was a major celebrity from a really large band that went on to do something new — another really good clue for you and your listeners.”

Let’s hope that what Mustaine is implying means Jason Newsted and his band, Newsted. That shit rocks!

As far as Device and Draiman’s inclusion on this bill; is it enough to keep you away from Gigantour 2013?
