Misery Signals Announce Album Details + Tour Dates

misery signals absent lightMany metalcore fans will be thrilled to know that one of the genre’s forefathers is returning to the scene after a five year hiatus. The Milwaukee-based Misery Signals will release Absent Light on July 23rd. Along with the album’s title and release date, the band has also revealed the cover art and announced an upcoming summer tour (dates below).

After the release of Controllers, Misery Signals’ label, Ferret Music, was absorbed by Warner Music. Band members pursued numerous side projects and, when they reconvened, went after an Indiegogo campaign to fund Absent Light. It was a successful campaign, as the campaign generated more than enough funding from fans.

“We were floored by the excitement from the people supporting the album,” guitarist Ryan Morgan says. “It’s a good feeling to have an audience matching the enthusiasm we are putting into its creation – and they haven’t even heard it yet! It’ll all come together when they get to hear how insane this album is.”
