by I praised the shit out of Phil Anselmo & The Illegals‘ new song “Bedridden” not too long ago. Now Phil’s first official solo project has released a new music video for the wicked track. It’s a gritty low-budget affair, but it’s pretty kickass.
The most “narrative” aspect of the video is seeing Phil in various stages of being bedridden and possibly some of the madness that accompanies such a condition. How haunting would it be to pray over a bedridden version of yourself? Still, some of the most fun you can have with this video is identifying the musical references on the wall of the rehearsal room.
