The pre-fight presser for UFC Fight Night 26: Shogun vs. Sonnen took place yesterday, and in case you missed it, we have it here for you to listen in on. The presser call features Shogun Rua, Chael Sonnen, Alistair Overeem, Travis Browne, and UFC President Dana White answering an assortment of questions by the media for the upcoming fighter card this weekend. The event will be the first free UFC event broadcast on Fox Sports 1, and it’s arguably considered the most stacked fight card of the year.
In the co-main event, Alistair Overeem returns for the first time since his devastating loss to Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva at UFC 156 in the heavyweight bout with Travis Browne. Another fight to really look forward to is on the preliminary card between featherweight prospect Conor McGregor and Max Holloway. Although, McGregor wasn’t on this call, from my understanding the UFC put on a separate presser just for him, and are now featuring his first fight inside the Octagon on the company’s official website for free. UFC Fight Night 26: Shogun vs. Sonnen will be held on August 17, 2013 at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.
