Twilight Zone: The Movie – New Scribe To “Redevelop” Script For Joseph Kosinski

Twilight Zone: The Movie

After years of talk to get a new Twilight Zone movie off the ground, the film is finally gaining momentum.

Last week, we reported that Warner Bros. and Leonardo DiCaprio’s studio, Appian Way Productions, is trying to tap TRON: Legacy director Joseph Kosinski to direct the film. Now, Variety is breaking news that DiCaprio and helmer Kosinski are looking to hire Aron Eli Coleite to “redevelop” the screenplay for Twilight Zone, which was previously penned by Anthony Peckham, Rand Ravich, and Joby Harold. Coleite is mostly known for writing for TV, but he has written and produced a movie entitled Trooper starring Mira Sorvino, Jay Hernandez, and Anna Wood.

Rumor is the new Twilight Zone movie won’t be an anthology like the 1983 classic produced by Steven Spielberg and John Landis, but a single story that will touch on several themes from the original TV series.
