Ok, so you must have already seen the first trailer for Gravity, and I’m sure at first watch it was pretty cool. But now I can’t help but wonder if the film by the hands who made Children of Men will be brilliant or just plain stupid. Don’t get me wrong here, I love the concept of gravity and being adrift in space, but, I feel the story is held up by a rubber band here, and it can’t be that interesting in a feature length film. Personally, I see only one major disaster happening, but the latest trailer above shows me more than I can handle in a 90-minute long sitting.
Is there much more to this film than what this trailer is telling us? I’m still curious to find out on October 4, 2013.
Gravity Synopsis
Dr. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) is a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (George Clooney). But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone—tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness. The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth… and any chance for rescue. As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left. But the only way home may be to go further out into the terrifying expanse of space.
