Are you concerned your Xbox 360 will be completely obsolete after the Xbox One is released on November 22, 2013? Well, you shouldn’t be because Mircrosoft Marketing executive Yusuf Mehdi confirmed during the Citi Global Technology Conference that there will be 100 new titles released for the 360 in the next three years. That’s enough time for poor schmucks, including Evil Argento, to continue enjoying the dated console, and save some money for the Xbox One once it reaches a lower price than the current $500 price point .
If you look at [Xbox 360], that platform lasted for seven to eight years and it’s going to go for another three years, it’s incredibly profitable now in the tail.
Mehdi insists that the Xbox One won’t be the death of the 360 and they will continue to support it.
We are going to continue to invest in Xbox 360 and the two devices can work in concert. So it isn’t like the day we ship the Xbox One your [Xbox 360] won’t work. We will continue to support it. In fact, we’re going to ship over one hundred new games on Xbox 360. So you’ll be able to still play your games, just not on the same exact box.
This means you should hold unto your unit, and take your sweet ass time before investing in next-gen consoles. You clearly have time!
