We’re still coming down off our Comiccon high, and wondering where we’ll get our next geek fix. Well, there’s the simple answer of Stan Lee’s Comikaz Expo. The 2013 expo takes place from November 1st till 3rd at the Los Angeles Convention Center. As the expo’s official site states, it’s one big family with Elvira as our aunt and Stan Lee our grandfather. Claiming to be a multi-pop-culture event, Comikaze assembles the most exciting and innovative in comics, video games, sci-fi, fantasy, horror and all things pop-culture.
With over 600 artists and vendors, unique panels, autograph sessions, photo ops, and more, the 2012 Comikaze attracted more than 45,000 fans in its second year. The schedule for 2013 isn’t up yet, but it’s clear that this is an event for anyone remotely interested in geek culture. Yes, there’s even a cosplay contest in which you could win $5,000. OK, this all sounds exactly like any comic-con, however, Comikaze is the only pop-culture con owned and operated by pop-culture icons.
