Countdown To Extinction: Live
As any Megadeth fan knows, the album Countdown to Extinction celebrated its 20th birthday in 2012, last November and December the band celebrated with the Countdown to Extinction 20th Anniversary Tour. Well, that tour bore some fruit, and it’s become available today, September 24th, in the form of Countdown to Extinction: Live. So yes, the shows were filmed and recorded and are now available in a variety of formats: deluxe Blu-ray/CD, DVD, CD, Digital Album, Mastered for iTunes Album, and Longform Digital Video. In addition to classics like “Symphony Of Destruction”, “Foreclosure Of A Dream”, “Sweating Bullets” and “Skin O’ My Teeth”, Countdown To Extinction: Live also includes epics tunes like “Holy Wars” and “Hangar 18” from 1990’s Rust In Peace, “Peace Sells” from the band’s influential, platinum-certified 1986 album, Peace Sells… But Who’s Buying?, and “Trust” from 1997’s platinum-certified Cryptic Writings.
