This isn’t shocking news since Nate Diaz (16-9) previously showed no interest in fighting Gray “The Bully” Maynard (11-2-1) at The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale on November 30th. Like his bro Nick Diaz, Nate now wants big fights only, championship fights, and it doesn’t sound like he wants to work his way back up to be the No.1 contender in the division. Despite losing to former UFC Lightweight Champion Benson Henderson and recently to Josh Thomson on the FOX card in April, it’s clear to me Diaz wants another title shot, and not a rubber match with Maynard.
Diaz is so desperate to pull out of the November bout that he feels he has more important things to do, like attend his high school reunion. You heard me right the first time, Nate’s priority right now is a reunion over the co-main event.
@ufc Cant make it november 30th ive gotta high school reuinion i have to tend too…

Although, I’m pretty sure Nate is serious in his head, but in reality I don’t think this will happen because we all know how the big boss will handle this situation. I’ll be shocked if Nate’s wish is granted.
