There’s a good possibility that CD Projekt RED’s upcoming Cyberpunk 2077, a RPG currently confirmed for the PC will be developed for next-gen consoles like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, according to business development manager Rafal Jaki.
It most probably will be, but we can’t confirm or deny because it’s too early for that.
The developer previously said Cyberpunk 2077 won’t be ready until late 2015 at the earliest because of other projects in the pipeline. However, Jaki also confirmed that the progress is going “really well” based on limited resources at the studio. The company is currently divided into three teams and employs a total of 210 people. A small team labeled as “black” with less than 100 people are dedicated to the game.
It is going really, really well and the team is growing and the development… well, I don’t want to brag or anything, but really the stuff they’ve come up with is mind-blowing.
Lastly, CD Projekt Red have expanded with a new 20-person studio in Krakow, Poland that will serve as additional development support for the game, including The Witcher 3.
