One-Eyed Doll Says “Serial Killers Are People Too”

One-Eyed Doll has to be one of the most creative bands in existence today, and certainly one of the best duos in music.

The goth-punkers just released a new video for an old song, “Be My Friend,” which first appeared on 2008’s Monster. Watch the video above and see how many horror icons you can point out. Also, pay attention to the lyrics; they’re funny as hell. The Patrick Kendall-directed video (Megadeth, Incubus, Sevendust) also feautres cameos from Waylon and Jeffrey Nothing from Mushroomhead. But why make this wickedly awesome video now?

The answer is simple. One-Eyed Doll is rereleasing Monster, calling it ReMonstered. The album has been remixed, remastered, and the drums have been re-recorded with Junior at the kit (Junior joined One-Eyed Doll in 2008, just after the original release of Monster).

ReMonstered was remixed by Grammy award-winning producer Sylvia Massy (Tool, System Of A Down, Johnny Cash) and will feature One-Eyed Dolls’ first cover song, “I Am a Viking,” originally recorded by Yngwie Malmsteen’s Rising Force.

ReMonstered is set for release on Christmas day, and the CD can be pre-ordered at music.oneeyeddoll.com. When ordered, fans will receive an instant download of the full album.

One-Eyed Doll will be touring the US with Mushroomhead through December 20, 2013. A full list of dates will be announced soon, with updates at oneeyeddoll.com.
