Oddly, the first official trailer for The Raid 2: Berandal, directed by Gareth Evans, reminds me of the prison cell scene in Martin Scorsese’s Oscar-winning Raging Bull with Jake La Motta (Robert De Niro) hammering his fists into the wall. But a lot more intense in this trailer with Rama showing off his martial arts skills of his own, played by Indonesian actor Iko Uwais. So it made me wonder who would win in a fight between La Motta and Uwais? Personally, I think La Motta would get his ass kicked, and no disrespect to him for saying it like that.
Think I’m full of shit, just take a look at the trailer above and drop your say in the comments section below if you think otherwise. There’s no official synopsis available yet, but apparently the sequel picks up two hours after The Raid: Redemption ends.
The Raid 2 will be released in the U.S. some time in March 2014.
