Wolf Creek 2 Acquired For U.S. Market

Wolf Creek 2

A few weeks ago, we showed our readers the very first trailer for Wolf Creek 2, an Australian horror film directed by Greg McLean featuring serial-killing pig-shooter Mick Taylor.

Based on what we saw in the trailer, the sequel looks as promising as the first installment, but a lot more fun with bigger action scenes, and probably more kills and blood spills. The budget for the sequel was over $7 million rather than just a flat million like Wolf Creek had. So expect to see a lot more, and I mean a lot more, in this one. Wolf Creek 2 opens in Australian theaters on February 20, 2014, and it’s going to hit the U.S. market in some shape or form too.

Image Entertainment announced that it has officially acquired Wolf Creek 2, Chief Acquisition Officer Bill Bromiley stated the following about their new outback horror film:

We are thrilled to work with Greg Mclean on the follow-up to his superbly made first feature film. Mick Taylor is one of the most sadistic characters I have seen on screen and the sequel does not disappoint – it gets under the skin, we can’t wait to show horror fans!

Still no word yet on when Wolf Creek 2 will hit U.S. theaters or disc release, but we’ll announce it as soon as it becomes available.
