Black Label Society (BLS) have been locked away in Zakk Wylde’s recording studio for some time working on the forthcoming new album, which expected to see the light of day sometime in spring 2014. However, the creative and technical aspects of making a record were interrupted this week with the news that BLS’ longtime guitarist, Nick Catanese, is leaving the family.
Wylde brought Catanese in after receiving an e-mail from the guitarist and he’s been an integral part of the band since 1998, when he help recruit the rest of the BLS members. His departure is sad news for BLS fans, however, according to the press release, we can find solace in the fact that the split is apparently amicable.
Black Label Society have amicably parted ways with longtime guitarist Nick Catanese and wish him the very best in his future musical endeavors.
A new guitarist hasn’t been named yet, but we will keep you posted just as soon as that news hits the wire.
